How a round trip with Dinu works
Plan the route together
Send Dinu your dates and the places you'd like to see. He talks the usual highlights through with you and suggests quieter spots away from the busy sights. His route advice costs nothing extra.
Travel at your own pace
On the road you decide when to stop, whether for a viewpoint, a waterfall or lunch. If you change your mind about the day's plan, Dinu adjusts the route.
Overnight close by
On trips of several days Dinu stays near your hotel, so the car is outside when you're ready. His accommodation is already part of the daily rate.
The last leg
At the end of the trip he drives you to your final stop or straight to the airport for your flight home.
From the south coast to the east
One family with small children set off with Dinu in Tangalle on the south coast. They drove up through the hill country and on to Trincomalee in the east. After their experience with other drivers, they described every stretch of the way as safe and relaxed.

What the daily rate covers
Included in €60 per day
- Dinu as your driver for the whole day
- His air-conditioned white Honda, ideal for two guests with luggage (three are possible)
- Fuel for up to 250 km a day
- Dinu's own accommodation on trips of several days
- Drinking water in the car and route advice
Paid separately
- Motorway tolls and parking fees
- Every kilometre beyond 250 km a day at €0.20
- Your own accommodation, meals and entrance fees
Example
7 days × €60 = €420. Your deposit of 25% comes to €105.
Booking and cancellation
Once Dinu has confirmed your booking, you pay a deposit of 25%, at the latest five days before you set off. If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge until then and get the deposit back in full. The rest is paid in Sri Lanka in cash or by bank transfer.

Extras on request
Would you like to go on a safari, take the train through the hill country for one stretch or have your hotels booked? Dinu can organise this for you once you've talked through your wishes. You pay the costs of these extras yourself.
